COFFEE ROASTERY DESIGNS

Coffee Heroes Solutions has designed and built specialty coffee spaces across North America for over 27 years. Here is some of our work:

DESERT KID COFFEE

2026 – PALM DESERT, CA

Interior of Desert Kid Coffee, Palm Desert, CA. A blue patterned sofa and mustard armchair sit on a Persian rug in the foreground. Behind them, the full café stretches back — retail shelving, a refrigerated grab-and-go case, the main bar, and the slow bar. Exposed black steel ceiling trusses run the length of the space. Natural light from tall windows on the left. Polished concrete floors throughout.

An awesome coffee roastery design and café build in Coachella Valley.

5,500 square feet designed from the ground up — roastery, espresso bar, slow bar, full kitchen, and retail. The IMF RM15 sits behind a full glass wall, visible from every seat in the house. Modbar espresso and brew throughout. Bluewater filtration. Four house roasts. Fresh pastries daily from the in-house kitchen.

Coffee Heroes Solutions handled the full scope — business concept, coffee program, bar design, roastery design, equipment specification, ventilation system, kitchen planning, and full coordination with architect, MEP, and contractor from first drawing to opening day.

Excellent coffee is a given. The experience is what brings them back.

POSTSCRIPT COFFEE

2023 – SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Our first big coffee roastery design and café build on Jackson Square, San Francisco.

3,500 square feet in the Financial District — roastery, espresso bar, full commercial kitchen, and specialty market. Coffee roasted on-site on a 15-kilo Loring. Modbar espresso system with Mahlkönig E80 grinders. A full kitchen producing fresh food all day. Wine, beer, and a curated market alongside it.

Coffee Heroes Solutions designed the space from concept to opening — bar design, equipment specification, workflow, sightlines, and full project coordination.

All to see. Nothing to hide.

YOUR PROJECT STARTS HERE:

Coffee Heroes Solutions designs and builds coffee roasteries and cafés from the ground up. Every project starts with a blank space and every decision still ahead — coffee program, bar design, roastery design, equipment specification, ventilation, kitchen planning, and full coordination between architect, MEP, and contractor.
Our work spans destination roasteries, specialty café builds, and full commercial coffee programs. We spec and source equipment, draw AutoCAD plans to the quarter inch, and stay on the build from first drawing to opening day. Two projects. Two cities. One approach — coffee roastery design built around how people actually use the space.
John Laird brings 27 years in coffee and a background in mechanical engineering to every build. Björg Brend Laird brings the business and brand thinking. Together they founded Coffee Heroes Solutions — they are North American partners for IMF Roasters.
